Halibut Flats Partners is a private investment firm established to acquire, manage and grow small and mid-sized companies in the Pacific Northwest. We are interested in a broad range of industries and take a long-term, hands-on approach to investing. We believe that good people and hard work are the most important factors in building great organizations and we strive to create the right environment for managers and businesses to succeed.
We are capitalized by a strategically selected group of investors who want to participate in the growth and development of outstanding Northwest businesses. We aim to provide attractive liquidity options for owners of privately-held companies or corporations looking to divest non-core operating units. Our private funding and regional focus enable us to move quickly and in complete confidence.
We do not require a lengthy time commitment from retiring shareholders. We take an active-management approach to ownership and seek companies that offer opportunities to create significant value through revenue growth and operational improvements. Following an acquisition, Halibut Flats will work hard to provide a smooth transition for retiring shareholders with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
Criteria
Halibut Flats Partners aims to acquire majority interests in private, middle-market companies located in the Pacific Northwest. Attractive investment opportunities will satisfy a majority of the following criteria.

- Revenue greater than $5 million
- EBITDA greater than $500,000 (past or quickly achievable)

Kyle Polanski, MANAGER
Kyle Polanski has worked with small and mid-sized companies his entire career. He has an exceptional track record running high-growth private companies as well as extensive experience in middle-market mergers and acquisitions and private equity investing. Kyle has worked closely with owners and executives in a range of industries from consumer products to packaging to industrial instruments.
He is a graduate of Colorado College and holds an MBA from the University of Washington Michael G. Foster School of Business.
